Clinical THEORY

With the climate of intensity in which we all live these days, having a shoulder to lean on and a helpful ear to bounce ideas off of can be what we need to get through our daily challenges.

Utilization of the main concept of biophilia (the innate urge to be surrounded by and connected to nature), Of Wilderness provides services that build upon the basic human need for connection. Time spent in nature has shown proven impacts such as (but not limited to):

  • In-Wilderness settings (on-trail, in a park, at a specific location, etc.)
  • In-Community settings (at a local coffee shop, diner, etc.)

Customers who talk about us

As a former patient of Diana’s I really can’t say enough great things about my experience working with her. As someone in recovery from the horrible, extremely misunderstood, and stigmatized disease of substance dependence it is crucial to have a great therapist that has a deep familiarity and understanding with this condition, due to the very unique nature of the disease. Very very few people truly understand it and it is therefore extremely difficult to find professionals who are truly helpful. The vast majority of patients are misunderstood and treated as criminals with a lack of morals. I’ve had 8 therapists during my journey through the gift of recovery. Diana is one of only 2 that I can honestly say provided helpful therapy and methods. She helped me tremendously with navigating recovery, life, relationships, and co-existing conditions, which in my case is a severe anxiety disorder. She also helped me discover so much about myself and how my thinking processes operate, as well as how to use those processes to produce a better life for myself and others.

It’s uncommon for me to feel completely comfortable opening up to people until I get to know them well. With Diana I felt immediately comfortable largely due to the fact that I could tell that she really wants to understand, be helpful, and approaches therapy from a very nonjudgmental stance. She is tremendously insightful, which has proven highly valuable for me, as her patient, to learn so much about the complicated nature of my mind and life. She’s very patient and without a doubt the best therapist I’ve been lucky enough to have worked with.
